50km Circular ride

50km Circular ride

This is a 50km (31 mile) group ride which meanders through all three Ayrshire counties.
It starts at sea-level in Troon then climbs inland to Symington via Corraith before visiting hamlets such as Gatehead, Crosshouse and Perceton on the way to Eglinton Country Park for a picnic lunch.

Please note: Bring your own picnic snack - we do not supply these.

The Visitor Centre in the park has a cafe which could be used as a wet weather alternative, although you would have to purchase food there.
They do not allow you to consume food in the cafe which was not purchased on the premises.

Return via National Cycle Route 73 to Irvine, then pick up National Cycle Route 7 for the return to Troon.

Experienced Cycling UK member(s) will lead you around the route.

We are part of Cycling UK, the national cycling body which has worked for cyclists for over a hundred years.

This year the programme has grown thanks to Ayr Burners, Ayr Active Travel Hub, Kilmarnock Cycle Station and other supporters of Ayrshire cycling.
